Nach Angaben eines OnePlus One Besitzers ist sein Smartphone in einer U-Bahnstation explodiert und damit in Brand geraten. Der Besitzer trägt leichte Verbrennungen hiervon da sein Smartphone sich in der Hosentasche befand.
MiYzu befand sich in einer U-Bahnstation als sein OnePlus One in der Hosentasche explodierte. Seinen Angaben zu folge befand sich das Smartphone in der hinteren Hosentasche seiner Jeans.
Weiter erzählte er, dass sein Smartphone an einem Tag nicht laden wollte, allerdings hat sich das Problem am Folgetag von selbst behoben. Im OnePlus One befindet sich ein Lithium-Polymer-Akku.
So etwas ist kein Einzelfall, bereits 2006 gab es einen Fall wo Sony bestimmte Notebooks zurückgerufen hatte. Ebenso explodierte ein Samsung Galaxy vor einigen Monaten, darüber hatten wir auch berichtet auch hatte Apple bereits damit zu kämpfen, ein iPod ging ebenso in die Luft. In allen Fällen gab es nur leichte Verletzungen.
Das Statement von OnePlus:
„We are very sorry to see one of our users had to experience this with their device as the safety of our customers is our first and foremost concern. We have already contacted MiYzu to learn more about his condition, as well as dispatched OnePlus staff to physically retrieve back the phone. This way, we can determine the circumstances surrounding this so that we may work to prevent this happening in the future.
Our products undergo extremely rigorous testing, and this is the first time anything like this has happened. We take this issue very seriously. We will send a MiYzu new phone and also reimburse him for the damage to his jeans and phone case, as well as any medical costs associated with this accident.“
